a soundmap for the swabian alb,
a rural region in south germany
the final trigger bringing this soundmap into life has been a culture competition to the jubilee of the 900th birthday of my hometown. planned to collect 900 sounds in that town, heima®t grows in supporters in the years later and also the area, where field recordings are made, too.
since then, the recordings are uploaded to radio aporee maps to be part of the worldwide phonographic soundmap on the one side. and for sure, recordings usually made for sound works, performances or installations and are made in that area also find their way back to heima®t.
